About ClipAward
ClipAward addresses independent filmmakers from all over the world who work under low & nobudget conditions.
Today's highly advanced digital recording and film processing technology brings about a variety of new opportunities for nearly everybody to try out his or her filmic talent. A new generation of filmmakers takes advantage of the constantly decreasing production costs and realizes short movies that are formally developed and sophisticated in content, being far from inferior to commercial productions. Rather, the financial constraints set free the creative potentials of filmmakers and yield astonishing results.
The festival offers a platform and a network to promote their short films, thus making them accessible to a wider public. From absurd to documental, from humorous to thoughtful - extraordinary filmic moments will be awaiting the festival audience from May 25-27th, 2012 in the splendid baroque castle of Mannheim, Germany.
